Pizza, Praise and Pride: Satisfy the Craving For Employee Recognition - Cox Communications

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Just two years ago, Cox Communication had about 135 individual recognition programs across the company, with some departments running up to 20 different programs. There was no visibility to the program costs, the results, success criteria or reasons for the program. Worst of all, not everyone was eligible for the programs – even within the same team!

Cox Communications was determined to find one solution that worked for everyone – one that would bridge distances, leadership styles and goals; and would focus on individual achievements that helped drive business results. It was then decided to create one company-wide program that could help achieve these goals and more.

This new employee recognition program/platform has propelled over 95% of the employees to regularly visit and use the Cox Communications site to issue awards to other employees, and/or to send kudos to peers for a job well done/teamwork. This program has proven to be a tremendous success and a major streamlining of business expense for a single purpose, with a proven in ROI in just the first year.

Learn how incentives, rewards, and recognition strategies can be used to enhance your employee experience, including:

  • Driving employee motivation and behaviors can be done through non-cash awards
  • Focusing on the goals and help employees understand how their day-to-day contribution fits in with the company’s mission and goals through recognition
  • Bring ideas to build unity—Connecting employees in a tangible, social way that contributes to everyone’s success
